USE CASES
LIVE PRODUCTION
Focus on the Content instead of the Logistics. Cover live events without the need for deploying large teams and expensive production equipment.
Streambox multi-channel decoders can deliver up to 8 synchronized feeds from a single location back to the broadcast center. In situations where there are multiple venues for an event, such as the Olympics, we offer a variety of portable encoders that can be mounted on a camera or carried in a backpack.
The diagram above shows one possible configuration that supports multiple remote cameras and two-way communications between the broadcast center / production facility and the field crew, modeled after the setup CNN used to cover the G20 Summit in Rome.
Streambox Low Delay Multi-Path (LDMP) technology provides dynamic encoding adjustment for real-time video transport over multiple network types, assuring reliable video playout over WiFi, 3G, 4G, and wired public IP networks simultaneously, with minimal latency.
REMOTE COLLABORATION
Remote workflow has become the hot topic for post production professionals. A recent Google search for the term ‘post production remote working’ returned an astonishing 437 millions results.
Remote working, from a purely technical perspective, has led the professional video industry to embrace Cloud Computing. Amongst other things, this means rethinking the equipment required to satisfy client demands and remain competitive. The larger challenge, however, will be to rethink the impact on creative collaboration.
The challenge will be to emulate an in-person experience as closely as possible.
Remote Collaboration with Cloud Based Apps and Streaming Encoder
Cloud-Based workflows are proving to be viable alternatives to traditional media workflows across a broad range of activities, including production, content contribution and post production. The benefits are clearly compelling and, in many cases, deliver a level of efficiency and agility that would not otherwise be possible.
Cloud Computing platforms, such as Amazon AWS, provide the means to reimagine media tools and applications. It is now possible to build an entire virtual workplace, including media storage and transport, with enough compute power to enable processing-intensive applications such as color grading.
LIVE STREAM
Reduce the cost and complexity of covering events by using Live Event solutions from Streambox. Streambox Cloud Services, streaming encoders and free media players provide less expensive and more agile solutions than satellite or microwave connections.
Streaming high quality content for live events or breaking news and getting it to viewers can be a logistical and technical challenge. Streambox innovative and flexible products allow users to set up quickly and reliably transmit high quality media over a variety of low bandwidth connections as events unfold.
